Client: Dine Alone Records
Location: Leslieville, Toronto

Project Scope/Client Needs

As part of a larger renovation and the creation of a new event and retail space, our client wanted the entrance to the event space to really stand out. They had procured some reclaimed tin metal roof tiles and asked us if we could help them realize their vision to install them on a wall to give it some pop.

Solution/Implementation

Working with reclaimed materials can be challenging and time consuming, as there are often size and shape variances. Also, the materials are in limited supply and hard (or impossible) to replace. No pressure! We were able to retain the layered shingle overlap look by reworking the tiles somewhat while being careful not to damage them. We also were able to hide the fasteners that we used to install them, adding to the visual appeal.
