Glass shower doors are a great feature of a shower/bathroom. One area of maintenance they encounter is adjusting the doors so they don’t hit an adjacent panel. It is common that over time the hinges become out of alignment and the glass door can contact the glass panel it closes against. This requires loosening off the whole door and supporting it in a position where it will swing correctly. It usually takes a couple of tries to get the door set just right.

Another area of maintenance with these glass shower doors is missing, worn, or gross door seals that need to be replaced. There is typically a bottom seal on a door which prevents water from exiting under the door. There are different types of these, and we will usually ask what thickness the glass is, as some seals clip on to the whole bottom. Other seals can be adhered with very sticky double-sided tape after cleaning the surface with alcohol. There can also be side seals, especially on the handle side of the door, but also on the hinge side.  With all the water splashing around in a shower having these seals properly installed and in good condition can save water exiting the shower and causing damage to other parts of the bathroom.
